Built low first

A barrel is built for one purpose: to hold weight without losing its shape. The sturdiest things are never built by skipping ahead. They're built low first, layer by layer, until the foundation can carry whatever is placed on top of it.

    Printed in white PETG with a soft, matte texture that catches light like paper.

    Four ribs and two rings, holding the shade in its barrel shape.

    Solid walnut base

    Not decorative. It is the lamp's centre of gravity, holding the full weight of the shade above it.

Where wood ends, light begins.

The shade turns raw brightness into something softer, something you can sit with. A strong base is not there to carry weight forever in the dark. It is there so that, one day, you can carry it into the light.

Size & materials
29 cm wide × 19 cm tall. Base 25 × 25 cm, solid walnut. Frame in sand-coloured PETG. Shade in white textured PETG.
Light
Standard E27 socket. Use an LED bulb only, maximum 12 W. A warm-white LED (2700 K) gives the softest glow. The bulb is not included.
Cable, switch & care
Cable with an in-line on/off switch and a two-pin plug. Wipe the base with a dry cloth. Dust the shade with a soft brush. Keep it away from water.
Safety
Use LED bulbs only, up to 12 W: the shade is printed plastic, and a hot incandescent or halogen bulb could deform it. Unplug before changing the bulb. Indoor use only.

Why does it cost EGP 3,500?
Every Barrel is made by hand in Cairo: the base is cut and finished from solid walnut, and the shade and frame are printed and assembled piece by piece. Delivery anywhere in Egypt is included.
How long is delivery?
Up to 7 working days, anywhere in Egypt. Delivery is included in the price.
How do I pay?
Cash on delivery, or by wallet or bank transfer. We confirm the details with you on WhatsApp.
Which bulb? Is it included?
Any E27 LED bulb up to 12 W. A warm-white one looks best. The bulb is not included.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery if it is unused and in its box. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours and we replace it or refund you. Delivery, returns and privacy
